Skills Bootcamps offer flexible, high-quality training lasting up to 16 weeks, with a minimum of 60 Guided Learning Hours, tailored to meet the needs of local employers. The training focuses on in-demand skills aligned with industry standards.

These flexible programmes are designed to support adults in upskilling or reskilling within a chosen career sector. By providing access to essential skills training, Skills Bootcamps enable adults to secure higher-skilled, sustainable employment. Participants are guaranteed an interview if seeking a new role and may have opportunities for progression into new positions, contracts, or enhanced responsibilities within existing roles.

Skills Bootcamps benefit employers by helping them address critical skills shortages, improve productivity, and develop a workforce capable of meeting both current and future demands. By closing specific skills gaps, the programme contributes to the overall economic growth of the West of England, ensuring that local businesses have the skilled workforce needed to drive long-term success.

General Support

This is a statement of your support for the proposed Skills Bootcamp and acknowledgement that it will meet the employment needs of regional businesses, including yours, and the skills gaps identified within this application.

Design

This will include supporting the design of the curriculum content to meet the needs of your employees and/or emerging sector skills gaps. Your industry experience and expertise will be used to identify skills needs and develop a course that supports learners into employment opportunities that utilise those skills.

Delivery

This will include involvement in delivering the content of the course, for example, teaching sessions on specialist topics, running networking activities or guest speaking.

Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance

This will include supporting the development of learners' employability skills, for example, delivering or supporting careers workshops, evaluating CVs and providing feedback for improvement or providing mock interviews.

Work Placements

This will involve providing work-based placements that enable learners to gain valuable work experience and apply the skills being developed through their Skills Bootcamp.

Interviews

This is a commitment to provide interviews for genuine job roles within your organisation.
